enVision Performance Solutions is a strategic provider of custom solutions for executives and the teams they lead.

Winner in the People innovation category, the consulting firm was established five years ago in the Fox Valley by Principals Gail Wise and Tom Wiltzius.

They launched the company after listening to several New North-area executives who complained about the shortcomings of leadership development tools available to them.

They met with about 35 regional and national human resource executives to develop their trademarked enVision360 leadership development tool.

The tool is the first of its kind to assess, then present leader development requirements in multiple, easy-to-read formats, leading directly to a leadership development plan for each user. This LDP reflects both bright-side and dark-side behavioral and knowledge-based competencies, conveying information previously unavailable in the presented formats.

The creation of an effective psychometric tool, designed to meet both user criteria and the research and development rigor suggested by the American Psychological Association, was a major undertaking, according to Wise and Wiltzius.

“We have all seen the popular magazine assessments that have little rigor and often no basis in effective research,” they said. “Unfortunately, the field of leadership development is not immune to the design and offering of similar assessments, where authors or providers suggest low costs and easy administration as paths to quality leader assessment.”

After two years of design and trials, enVision360 became available for the open market as a high-quality multi-rater leadership development assessment.

Businesses in the New North and nationwide use the tool. Users include Bellin Health, Jewelers Mutual, Pilot/Flying J, TIDI Products, Miller Electric, Silver Star Brands, St. Norbert College’s Center for Exceptional Leadership and the U.S. Olympic Committee.

Insight Innovation judges were impressed that the new tool is being used by major employers in the region and beyond, having the potential to make an enormous positive influence not only on the quality of leaders but also on the thousands of employees they oversee.
